The Friends of Califon Island Park & the Park
Bordered by the South Branch of the Raritan River Califon Island Park offers a wonderful recreational area for local residents. The park serves as the home of many of the borough's events including the Memorial Day Celebration, fishing derby's, and the annual CAMPA Harvest Festival
The park features baseball fields, soccer fields, a basketball court and playground.
The park is now over 17 years old and has in many ways outlasted itself, the state has deemed that some of the park's facilities are now out of code and must be updated including the entire wooden structure of the playground.
The goal of The Friends of Califon Island Park is to is to do any kind of maintenance and renovations to the entire park, not just the playground. They have helped to provide clay for the ball fields and hope to have a walking trail as well.
CAMPA and our concerned members look forward to this opportunity to give back to our community by helping the Friends of Califon Island Park reach their goals.
